BUS TRANSPORT: We really want to encourage as many of you as possible to utilise the bus transport that we are providing for you. Travel in comfort, no traffic woes and help save the planet. We will be running bus transport from Auckland city on Fri 8 Feb leaving from Britomart and K Rd bus stop and one stop in Manukau City CBD. We will ensure the bus pick up from Britomart coincides with ferries from Waiheke Island and Devonport. There will be two picks up - one early afternoon 1pm and the other 6.15pm. The buses will return on Sunday at 2pm and 5pm. For more information email info@splore.net. Bookings are essential and need to be made by 1 Feb.
CAR POOLING: Come on Splorers fill your car up with as many people as possible. If you have spare in your car and you are happy to share a ride or if you need a ride, upload your details on the following website http://www.rideinfo.co.nz/ Parking space is limited and we encourage you to carpool as much as possible.
ONSITE SHUTTLE: We have a 25 seater shuttle to take families, kids, mums-to-be, grans and poppa's from the camping fields down to the beach. This will operate every 30 minutes between the hours of 10am - 10pm be of nominal cost. Good news NO steep path for 2008 - the only access is via the road down to the beach (5 mins walk from camping area)
CAMPING & PARKING: The camping and parking layout has changed from 2006. Now the parking fields are right next door to the camping fields which means that no vehicles at all will be allowed in the camping areas. We have allocated a family camping and parking area and on arrival at the ticket office you need to request a family camping pass which entitles you access into this area. To see a layout of the camping/parking area click here
TICKETS: Flying out the door - we have extended our $160 + BF timeframe but tickets will shortly be full price $175 + BF. Your ticket price does include camping and parking. You can book your tickets online or find out what outlets you can buy directly from here
