We all sleep for one third of our lives, but how much do you know about what actually goes on?
In this seminar presentation by the makers of the Fringe Festival production Sleep/Wake, you will learn about the science of your sleep and hear how artists and scientists are working together to create an exciting new theatre experience.
World renowned sleep expert Professor Philippa Gander of the Massey University Sleep/Wake Research Centre and Sleep/Wake director/designer Sam Trubridge (The Restaurant of Many Orders) will give a 30 minute presentation, followed by Q, on their collaboration to create Sleep/Wake.
Sleep/Wake blends dance, science and performance design to explore the world of the unconscious, revealing those things that lie dormant within us: hidden performances of the self - obsessions, ambitions, and dreams.
RSVP to Sleep/Wake producer Clare Needham on clare.needham@paradise.net.nz by Friday 25 January to reserve your place as seating is strictly limited. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
