Elvis To The Max And Rock ‘N’ Roll Christmas At SKYCITY Theatre
Exclusive in New Zealand to SKYCITY Theatre, Max Pellicano is performing a special show in tribute to the 30th Anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley.
A celebration of the life of the King, the show starts in with the 1969 Las Vegas Hilton International show where Elvis wore the ‘Fringe’ outfit, through to the 1973 Aloha From Hawaii evening featuring the legendary ‘American Eagle’ jumpsuit.
Lastly, Max recreates the 1977 ‘CBS Special - Elvis in Concert’ final show where the King wore his famous ‘Sundial’ suit.
The costumes worn by Max are exact replicas made by Elvis’ tailor Bill Bellow. The shimmering encrusted ‘White Eagle’ costume is a $10,000 recreation, identical to the one worn by Elvis in 1972.
Born in Monte Carlo, of French and Italian parents, Max Pellicano spent most of his childhood in New York before moving to San Francisco at the age of 14. Today, Max is based in Detroit.
He has been a professional actor and entertainer since 1974 when he graduated from the California State University with a degree in Dramatic Arts.
Also, in December Shane Cortese and the ‘Class of 58’ return to SKYCITY Theatre to rock ‘n’ roll audiences with their highly anticipated Christmas show.
The 15-piece big band perform your favourite Christmas carols to rock ‘n’ roll beats of the 50’s in a stunning and vibrant tribute to music of the era. Last time New Zealand’s biggest rock ‘n’ roll band took the stage at SKYCITY they sold out four shows, so book early to make sure you don’t miss out.
