Bah-Humbug
It may be a time of good will to all men - but a new survey has revealed the 50 things that drive us mad about Christmas.
The study by First Choice Holidays asked 3,000 Brits to pick out the things that get up their noses over the festive period.
Everything from irritating Christmas music played on a loop in a shopping centre to over-decorated houses and the Christmas No1 were on the list; even unwelcome relatives got a mention.
Stress, queues in stores, being stuck in traffic and rubbish cracker jokes also emerged as major festive bug bears for us this Yule Tide.
And ironically, people who don't like Christmas also made the top 50. But top of the list for Christmas peeves was novelty tit-tat such as tinsel earrings and Santa hats.
A spokeswoman for First Choice said: '"We understand how stressful Christmas time can be for many families, which is why many of us are packing up our things and jetting off abroad for some winter sun or a ski trip.
"We have seen an increase in Christmas holidays over the years with this season following a similar pattern.
"It's no wonder people opt to get away from it all when you see the list of pet hates. Rather than forking out on buying presents for distant relatives you don't like, or battling the crowds, we say treat yourselves to a festive break for Christmas or the New Year and save the Yule Tide rush for another year!"
The results make miserable reading so if you're one of those people who loves everything about Christmas - look away now.
