Brewfest 2008 – A New Event For Wellington
Brewfest 2008 at Trentham Gardens, Trentham Racecourse on Saturday 16 February will be a “party in the sun” for Wellingtonians and visitors to the region.
Boutique Breweries, matching food, a vineyard or two plus a line-up of top music will set the stage for a new event to make its mark on the Wellington scene.
Organiser Gavin McLaughlin has planned carefully to bring together ingredients that will attract an 18 years plus audience to Trentham Racecourse for a day to relax and sample good food in one of the most accessible venues in the region.
Trentham Railway station is right next to the Racecourse which makes for easy travel from all over the region.
A special stage will be erected trackside for the music and nearby grandstands provide patron facilities.
David Greer, well known to Wellingtonians for his music talents is arranging the entertainment which already includes “”Shaken not Stirred” one of NZ’s premier performance jazz bands.
Tickets are available from Wellington, Porirua, Kapiti, Hutt City and Upper Hutt City
i-SITE Visitor Centres or on line at www.brewfest.co.nz.
Gates will open at 10.30am with bands playing throughout the day.
