Beckham To Stay Private For Capital Visit -& Phoenix Face Legal Fight Over Player
LAWFUEL - NZ Legal Jobs & Newswire - The arrival of David Beckham and his Galaxy football colleagues in Wellington today will likely see the world's most famous footballer staying in luxury digs in the Wairarapa, rather than with his team mates in the capital.
Sources indicate that Beckham will be staying at the Wairarapa's luxury Wharekauhau lodge for his stay in New Zealand, where he can chopper to the capital in 15 minutes and retain some privacy and security.
The match between the Galaxy and the Phoenix is scheduled for Saturday night, however it seems a legal match is also developing between the Phoenix and recently released player George Paladini, who is evidently taking legal action against the Serepisos-owned team for unfair dismissal.
It is understood that Paladini has instructed lawyers Bell Gully to seek legal redress for his dismissal.
