New Zealand artists wanted for Seoul and Hong Kong
The Asia New Zealand Foundation is calling for applications from New Zealand visual artists for two high profile artists’ residencies – in Hong Kong and Seoul.
The application deadline for both residencies is December 7.
The four week Hong Kong residency will run in April and May 2008. It is one of a series of planned workshops featuring four international artists and four local counterparts, known as the “Hong Kong International Artists’ Workshop: 4 x 4”.
It is being offered by the Asia New Zealand Foundation in partnership with The AiR Association Limited of Hong Kong.
The AiR Association will provide a moderate fee, production subsidy, studio space and living space for the visiting artist, plus coordination and publicity of the programme. The Asia New Zealand Foundation will cover the cost of a return economy airfare, insurance and a modest daily stipend.
The two month Seoul residency will run from April 7 next year and be hosted by the National Art Studio of the Korean National Museum of Contemporary Art. The opportunity is being offered the Asia New Zealand Foundation in partnership with the Korea Foundation.
The Asia New Zealand Foundation will cover the cost of a return airfare, insurance and a daily stipend. The Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul will cover the cost of accommodation.
Professional practising artists with a record of achievement in the preferred genres of arts practice are invited to submit a written application to Asia New Zealand Foundation by no later than 5pm on Friday, December 7, 2007.
