Life Changing Win

Life Changing Win

As summer draws to an end and the autumnal weather approaches, life is also about to change for a Big Wednesday First Division winner in New Plymouth who has just won $3,494,390 in cash and luxury prizes, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The winning ticket was sold at Merrilands Lotto and Post in New Plymouth.

The winner is only the third player to scoop Big Wednesday's new set of prizes, and has won themselves $2 million in cash and prizes comprising of an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, an Audi Q7, $250,000 American Express Platinum card, $250,000 worth of luxury travel, a Rayglass Legend 2500 boat and a $500,000 bach.

"This substantial prize pool is certainly a life changing one for tonight's Big Wednesday winner," says Mr McLeay.

"Anyone who bought their ticket from Merrilands Lotto and Post in New Plymouth should make sure they're sitting down when they check their ticket, they could be in for a shock but a very welcome one" advises Mr McLeay.

Mr McLeay's advice for this week's Big Wednesday winner is to write their name and address on their ticket, confirming their ownership.

"They should then contact NZ Lotteries Wellington office on (04) 802 7000, and we can provide advice about the next steps to take," he says.

A ticket sold at Countdown in Upper Hutt won Big Wednesday's second chance draw, open to all tickets bought for tonight's draw. The ticket holder has won an Audi A4 Cabriolet.

The winning serial number is 542-58421252-13XX.

"Anyone who bought their ticket from Merrilands Lotto and Post and Countdown in Upper Hutt should check it immediately," says Mr McLeay.

Mr McLeay also advises that all players write their name and contact details on the back of their tickets.

There were a total of 63,973 winners from tonight's draw.
