Seven good reasons for Sandwiches’ season: ’07
‘Twas the month before Christmas, and the people espouse, “where’s the best party, who’s playing the best house?”
Wellington’s Club Sandwiches today provided seven compelling reasons why it is the place to be for New Year’s Eve 2007, boasting a top entertainment line-up for discerning folk who plan to be in the Capital for the big night.
Tyler Stadius, producer and resident DJ at legendary UK super-club Fabric, and ex-pat Wellingtonian producer, Ibiza DJ and BBC’s Radio 1 tour DJ Chris Tubbs head the strong line-up, which also includes Phil Brokelmann (Electric Mojo) and The Shimmy crew’s Takkas and Marek in a four-deck leftfield mash-up.
Sandwiches, winner of New Zealand’s Best Nightclub award for 2006, will provide a sanctuary for visitors to the Capital and local Wellingtonians, away from the messy mainstream streets and drunken hordes.
Sandwiches Director Bryce Mason said that Wellington was the primary destination for lower-North Island residents.
“We’re providing a unique and stylish club experience for visitors, and a reliable and comfortable venue for Wellingtonians remaining in the city this New Year.
“Options for inner-city partying are limited. There’s the hordes at Civic Square and on the street, and a pretty similar vibe at Irish pubs and sports bars. People want more than that, so we’re setting Sandwiches up as the place to be for the countdown and to party through until daybreak,” said Bryce.
The seven good reasons to welcome 2007 with Sandwiches are:• World-renowned House DJ Stadius and much-loved ex-pat Wellingtonian Chris Tubbs travel the Seven Seas to play Sandwiches NYE 2007
•Vladivar Vodka serves Seven Deadly Sins of decadent cocktail delights
•Spread the love, be with friends for the countdown with the Lucky Seven deal – buy six tickets, get the seventh free
•Escape the drunken, heaving Seven Nation Army on the streets
•Stadius, Tubbs, Brokelmann, Takkas, Marek, Kava and visual artist De La Stella are the Seven Wonders of NYE entertainment
•Like the Seven Dwarves, it’s the little things that count: great sound, lighting, and visuals; sheltered outdoor area and – most importantly – the best, most spacious toilets in town
•Rolling into 2007 with good friends and good music in a great club is like Seventh Heaven.
