Unfit Office Guy Goes Wild
A New Zealand based office worker has decided to strike a blow against the tide of inactivity that is sweeping the nations. He has entered the 2007 Karapoti Classic Mountain Bike race, which is held to be the toughest in the southern hemisphere.
Known as "OfficeGuy" he claims "I have 3 kids, and I want to be healthy and fit so I am around for a long time for them."
OfficeGuy like many other office workers has an inactive lifestyle, with the bulk of the working day sitting at an office chair. "I used to be fit 15 years ago, but I have let things slide.
I want to show people how to turn this around, in a dramatic way"
He has set up a website at http://www.OfficeGuyGoesWild.com in order to obtain sponsorship, which will be
used to fund the mountain bike he will use in the race. Blocks of the bike picture at this site are for
sale and will link to the purchasers' web site, as a form of advertising.
"I've already had over 46000 hits to the website and sales are coming in quickly now, so I will soon have
sold all the available blocks", says OfficeGuy.
The Karapoti Classic is scheduled for March 3 2007
