Extravagance In Abundance At Diamond Bar Opening
The opening of Diamond Bar at Christchurch Casino this Friday [10 November 2006] will be a night of glamour and stunning
surroundings.
Diamond Bar’s grand red-carpet opening will be celebrated with an exclusive evening of entertainment and fantastic
atmosphere.
As soon as guests enter the bar, the chandeliers and eye-catching crystal glass shards that descend towards a crisp
white bar will impress them.
Christchurch Casino’s Stephen Lyttelton says every effort has been made to make opening night at Diamond Bar a unique
experience.
“We have it all covered from the premium beverages, including Cristal and Heineken (on tap) and the enticing foods, to
the acoustic sets to be performed by Donald and James Reid.”
“Diamond Bar has some amazing finishes that will ensure our guests feel special. From the leather seats to the mirrored
ceiling above the dance floor, from the granite wall finish to the large plasma screen adorned with crystal glass, the
atmosphere created by this stunningly designed bar is bound to impress,” he added.
Not only will our guests have the chance to win their own diamond, they will also be privileged to see some of
Australasia’s best bar Flairers perform some amazing tricks.
Leeroy Petersen from Twisted Liquid says he is looking forward to coming to Christchurch for the opening of Diamond Bar.
“I can’t wait to get over there (to New Zealand), the new bar sounds amazing and it will be the perfect back-drop for
some quality Flairing. A lot of people won’t have seen Flairing before so it is great to be able to take it to new
places.”
Leeroy Petersen, who has been involved in a number of high profile bar openings, first came to prominence as a Flairer
in 1997 where he came 2nd in the Australasian Flair Championships. Since then he has had success in numerous
international and local competitions including a 6th placing at the World Flair Titles in Dubai. He is also the current
Australian Bacardi Freestyle Flair Champion.
“Diamond Bar is proud to have the team from Twisted Liquid perform some stunning feats behind the bar. Leeroy Petersen
is one of the best. He has had success at competitions around the world and we are excited to have him and his team
here,” says Mr Lyttelton.
As well as the opening night, Diamond Bar has secured some of New Zealand’s leading entertainers to perform over NZ Cup & Show Week including Jordan Luck, Nathan Haines and Carly Binding.
