National Umpire Squads Announced
Netball New Zealand announced today the National Umpires Squad and National Umpires Development Squad for 2006/7.
Jonathan Bredin is the new umpire named in the National Umpires Squad after impressing in the Development Squad. Kylie Batchelor has been recalled into the squad.
Mary Ellis and Kirsten Lloyd were not considered for selection due to ongoing injuries.
NNZ Umpire Coach Jan Teesdale is looking forward to working with the umpires selected.
“The squad is a good mix of very experienced International Umpires and new exciting talent,” she said.
“We are continuing to see the results of hard work by both Netball New Zealand and the Regions.”
