Iñaki Urlezaga, former principle dancer of The Royal Ballet of London, and his company BALLET CONCIERTO are set to
dazzle tempo audiences in their premiere New Zealand performance at Sky City Theatre on October 4.
“Tempo is very excited to be able to present such a highly acclaimed top international company,” says Tempo director
Mary-Jane O’Reilly. “Ballet Concierto combines ballet and elements of tango and promise an exciting and fiery
performance.”
Performing two contemporary ballet movements, BALLET CONCIERTO is a highlight of tempo.

The electrifying ‘Pulsaciones’ shows the rigorous prowess of the company. The second movement ‘Destino Buenos Aires’
uses ballet and stylized tango to capture the steamy mood and feeling of Buenos Aires.
Iñaki Urlezaga was appointed as a principle dancer of The Royal Ballet in 1995. With the company for ten years, Iñaki
danced lead roles in Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, the Nutcracker and Romeo and Juliet.
