Books, Balls, Tracks and Hacks
Wellingtonians have the chance to hear some of New Zealand’s leading sports writers talk of their passion for Books, Balls, Tracks and Hacks during New Zealand Book Month.
Cricketing legend and author Martin Crowe is teaming up with top sports journalist and rugby guru Ron Palenski, horse-racing expert Mary Mountier, racing-car enthusiast Peter Bidwell and cycling advocate Jonathan Kennett, to share their experiences about bringing sports and players to life on the page.
Newstalk ZB’s Garry Ward will chair this event, which will examine what gives the best sports books their edge, and how top sports writers get ahead in their field.
Books, Balls, Tracks and Hacks
Date: Wednesday 11 October
Venue: Wellington Girls’ College, Pipitea Street, Thorndon
Time: 5.45pm drinks, 6.15pm-7.30pm event
