Grand Master of Freemasons NZ Elected

Barry McLaggan, a retired dairy farmer from Taupiri in the Waikato, has been elected Grand Master of Freemasons New Zealand
His farming career began in 1958 and by 1970 Barry had developed an interest in rural poliltics which has since led to directorships and chairmanships of dairy companies, the New Zealand Dairy Employers Association, the Auckland Employers Association, New Zealand Dairy Group, Tenon Development, Justices of the Peace Association. Barry is also a rural conciliator.
Freemasons has 11,000 members throughout New Zealand. Grand Master is the most senior office and is a two-year term.
