Who is New Zealand’s top celebrity dancer??
Lorraine Downes, Norm Hewitt, Beatrice Faumuina and Shane Cortese will tear up the dance-floor once again as they 'dance
-off' for charity for the title of New Zealand’s number one celebrity dancer benefiting Plunket from 7pm Friday 29th
September at the Hyatt Auckland cnr Waterloo Quadrant and Princes St.
Norm, Shane, Beatrice and Lorraine were the first and second placegetters on New Zealand’s Dancing with the Stars over
the last 2 years.
The black-tie dinner has attracted the cream of Auckland’s celebrity set with Amber Peebles, Angela Bloomfield, Candy
Lane, Georgina Beyer, Hillary Timmins, John Walker, Kelly Swanson-Roe, Nicky Watson and Steve Gurney all putting their
dancing shoes on for charity.
MC is Dancing with the Stars judge, Alison Leonard and entertainment is Joe Cotton and the Mermaids. Other celebrities
attending are Brendan Pongia, Brooke Howard-Smith, Dom Harvey, Hayley-Marie Byrnes, JJ Feeney, John Aiken and Karen
Olsen.
Funds raised from the night will go to Plunket; for almost 100 years, Plunket has assured community-based support for
the majority of New Zealand children and their families – this is unique in the world. Today, Plunket sees 9 out of 10
young children and their families.
