Radio One 91fm High School Demo Competition

Published: Thu 24 Aug 2006 03:55 PM
Radio One 91FM is excited to announce the return of the
Radio One 91fm High School Demo Competition “Our Band is Better than your Band”.
Last year Zan Batman Circus from Kavanagh College sent in a demo for “To A Heart With No Luck’ & won themselves all of this: a song professionally recorded in the Radio One studio, a swanky photo shoot and an even swankier bio. Then we gave the song a bucketload of airtime on the lovely Radio One and sent the song to bNet radio stations up and down the country, a couple of extra stations… and further afield on a trip across the Tasman Sea.
Once again Radio One is ready to share the love with the next team of talented teenagers. We will be making their adolescent dreams of super stardom come true, and giving them a leg up on how to schmooze and get invited to the coolest parties.
This year Radio One will not only be inviting Dunedin schools to participate, but we will also be extending the invitation to every high school in the Otago Region.
The competition starts now and the young keen beans have until 5pm Friday 6th October to pop up to the Radio One office, Level 1, 640 Cumberland Street, or send it to: Our Band is Better than Your Band… Radio One… Box 1436… Dunedin
So get your kid sister or brother to send us a demo.
Thanks to the University of Otago.
