Front Of House "Guru" Leaves Bats For London Theatre Scene
BATS Theatre is saddened to announce their Front of House Manager and Marketing "guru" Steph Walker is leaving to pursue her Masters in Arts Management at the University of Greenwich in London, UK.
Steph originally began her association with BATS as an occasional back bar volunteer in 2002, and also produced several shows before taking up a relieving position in 2004. She has had her current position since July 2005.
Steph is leaving to go to no less than the world¹s number one theatre-going city in the world, London, where she will be studying at the Cultural Management Applied Research group within the Business School at the University of Greenwich, situated in the former Naval hospital, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Steph is under no illusions that BATS has helped her get this opportunity - "Although the whole prospect of working in London is both incredibly exciting and daunting all at once, I think coming from Wellington, where I was extremely fortunate to work with and learn from the most amazingly clever people in such a vibrant Theatre community that BATS has fostered, is going to give me a really strong base to build on while I am over there".
Steph begins the course in late September, and BATS wishes her all the best.
ENDS.
