Israel beckons talented Dancer
It’s been an 8 year dream and the opportunity of a lifetime, and dancer Anna Edwards is grabbing it with both feet. Ms Edwards was recently accepted to perform in Israel as a processional dancer at the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem.
The Great Hosanna is the theme of this year and it will be the 27th annual celebration in the city of Jerusalem. Ms Edwards applied to be a Processional dancer to the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem for the last 3 years, and was accepted this year. Ms Edwards will be in Jerusalem for 4 weeks, which will incorporate training, rehearsal, and the performance.
“I am just so grateful to be accepted and to be apart of this amazing event” says Ms Edwards. “It is very exciting to be going to “The Holy Land” and to be ministering in the capacity of my gifting. I believe that God has called me to go for such a time as this. The people of Israel need our support now more than ever.”
In order to raise funds for the trip, Ms Edwards is holding a “Liberate” Benefit Concert at which she will perform a number of dance and musical routines with a talented troupe.
The “Liberate” Benefit Concert will be held on August 26th at 7pm at the Liberty Christian Church, 96 Lansford Crescent, Avondale. Tickets are $10.00 per adult, $5.00 13 and under, or $35.00 for a family (tickets at the door). Donations towards the funding of the trip may also able to be forwarded to Anna Edwards, 7A Endeavour St, Blockhouse Bay, Auckland.
Ms Edwards leaves for Israel on the 19th of September.
