Published: Thu 17 Aug 2006 03:33 PM
This August marks the 20th anniversary of Bon Jovi's breakthrough album Slippery When Wet.
The album sold over 20 million copies around the world and stands as one of the six best selling hard rock / heavy metal albums ever.
It gave us 3 top 10 singles including 2 number ones - You Give Love a Bad Name and Living on a Prayer.
Slippery When Wet stayed at #1 for 15 weeks, the record for a hard rock album on the Billboard charts.
This August, The Rock’s Tracey Donaldson takes a look at this groundbreaking album.
She talks to Michael Francis, Bon Jovi’s Head of Security through the wild Slippery When Wet World tour,
who became so close to the band he was invited to be Jon Bon Jovi's best man.
There's also comment from Steve Morse of Deep Purple, Chad Kroeger from Nickelback, Kirk Pengilly from INXS,
Jimmy Barnes and Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park - All of whom have been touched in some way by Bon Jovi.
This is one hour a Bon Jovi fan won’t want to miss...
