MTV NZ Conduct Nation Wide Search for One More Kiwi Face to Become a Part of History.
MTV are on the lookout for one more talented music lover to join the first ever MTV NZ VJ team.
The MTV VJ Search will officially commence 48 hours prior to the MTV NZ Launch event taking place in Aotea Square on
August 18. The search is being exclusively sponsored by Vodafone as part of their ‘Make the Most of NOW’ campaign.
Larrie Moore, Vodafone General Manager of Brand and Consumer Marketing at Vodafone says “We are really excited to be a
sponsor of the MTV VJ Search. The search is just one of a number of exciting initiatives that Vodafone will bring to New
Zealand in 2006 that will enable people to really start making the most of the here and NOW.
“This search allows us to showcase our leading edge 3G mobile technology, and, for the first time, we will give New
Zealanders the ability to enter the search using Vodafone Video Messaging. This means that anyone with a capable handset
can enter wherever and whenever they want.”
To enter people simply send a video message of themselves to ‘4000’. With heaps of other ways to join in budding VJs
have no excuse. Entrants can also audition by going along to one of four designated Vodafone retail stores on September
2 or by attending the live auditions at the Aotea Square launch event from 10 am – 10pm August 16.
The MTV search squad will be set up in the following Vodafone stores for one day only on September 2.

Plus if you’re in Wanaka at this month it is worth knowing that the MTV search squad will also be waiting, cameras in
hand, to find New Zealand’s next big thing at Wanaka Snow Park on August 25 and 26 when the MTV crew will be filming
local show Snow Cave. So get yourself along and get noticed.
And if all else fails entrants can send in a DV tape to MTV Networks New Zealand, 15 Hargreaves St, College Hill,
Freemans Bay, Auckland, 1011.
The winner of the VJ search will be selected in early October and announced in a 1 hour special airing only on MTV NZ
channel 35.
Get down to the MTV NZ launch event commencing at 4pm August 18 to see a showcase of audition hopefuls.
