Joining world famous VJs such as the US’s Carson Daley, Kiwi born UK MTV VJ Zane Lowe and Australia’s Jason Dundas, ex beauty queen Amber Peebles and George FM’s Phil Bostwick have nothing but fame and a hell of a good time to look forward to. Their role as VJs will rocket them to super stardom as they get ready to be the first ever hosts of New Zealand’s very own MTV.
MTV will also be looking for one more VJ in a nationwide search to complete the NZ VJ team with further details coming soon.
‘'This is my dream job,’ said Amber excitedly ‘Just to be involved in something this big, that has such an amazing history is such a privilege. Whoever wins the VJ search will be a part of this history too and will join Phil and I in the exclusive world of rock and roll!”
“I would never have imagined I would get an opportunity like this in my lifetime” Agreed Phil “I love music and to be working for the ultimate music channel is a more than a dream come true for me it will actually go down in history… Amber and I will be forever known as the first ever MTV VJs in New Zealand!”
Executive Producer of MTV Networks Australia and New Zealand Ean Thorley said, “Amber and Phil were perfect choices for MTV… not only do they have quirky personalities that really capture the brand but they also relate to the NZ audience.”
The premiere of FULL TANK will be a 2 hour extravaganza shot around North Island and will explode onto the screen quite literally with a car explosion as the first scene. As well as FULL TANK, Amber and Phil will be hosting all MTV NZ’s special events including SNOW CAVE shot in Wanaka set to premiere September 22nd at 4pm.
FULL TANK is a music, culture, and travel show set to premiere August 18 and will air every Friday at 4pm. The MTV crew will hit the roads of NZ in search of the exciting, the kinky, the glamorous, and the down right weird things that make NZ so unique. More than just your average travel show Amber and Phil will immerse themselves in the varied and sometimes wacky culture of each town they stumble into promising to deliver an even wackier version of Pure NZ goodness. Their travels will include big cities, tiny remote country towns, and everywhere in between so viewers take note because MTV could be visiting your town soon!
“I can guarantee this show will be unlike any other music program you can think of,” promises Clare Roach Producer of Full Tank. “Expect to be shocked, entertained and totally enthralled!”
