Hello BATSy Bats,
It struck me that the title of this email sounds like an informercial, or worse ... spam ... but its true! These two
shows we have on are mega gigantically great works you simply must see!
Look Back in Anger is in its 2nd week, and wowing everyone who sees it. Lovepuke opens tomorrow, and just from my sneaky
peeks today I can tell you it is a humdinger, in the way that only Duncan Sarkies can write, and Lyndee-Jane can bring
to life.
And in other news, we are after a new Front of House Manager, to start mid August.
See below for more info on the shows, a giveaway, and the job. I'm standing by for your bookings...
Arohanui,

Lovepuke by Duncan Sarkies
OPENS TONIGHT!
Tues 11th - Sat 22nd July
6pm
a seriously sexy comedy by Duncan Sarkies (Scarfies, Wild Man Eyes, Stray Thoughts & Nose Bleeds) and starring eight sexy singletons looking for love in the Windy City. It's about love, sex,
relationships, bodily functions and how bloody stupid we can get about it all.
Director Lyndee-Jane Rutherford wanted to revive Lovepuke as it's "a fantastic play. It's genius. It's about love. The
characters are all people we know, have been, don't want to be and would never admit to being".
Relieve your winter blues laughing as you witness four men and four women fight it out on the battleground of love.
WIN! A double pass for this Saturday's show of Lovepuke goes to the best email telling me why love makes them want to
puke. Winners contacted on Wednesday. Email book@bats.co.nz
Look Back in Anger
by John Osborne
8pm
until Sat 22 July
$20 full / $15 concession
"If you've seen the play before (incredibly this is its first professional outing in Wellington), or the film or TV
versions, I recommend you refresh your sense of it with this production. If you've never seen it, don't miss this
opportunity." - John Smythe, Theatreview and currently Capital Times.
The 50th anniversary of a play which changed the face of British theatre forever.
This emotional and powerful work is both an extraordinary portrait of post-war Britain and a love story for its time.
GO SEE IT.
