April Offers As Skycity Turns 10
This year marks SKYCITY’s 10th birthday and to celebrate, there are a number of special birthday offers throughout the month of April for everyone to join in the fun.
To mark a decade of fun and entertainment, SKYCITY is offering a line-up of exciting events and promotions in April. Whether it’s dining at one of the many restaurants, spending the night in the luxurious 5-star Grand Hotel, or visiting the famous Sky Tower, there’s plenty to do!
ORBIT – The View Is Different With Every Course Of Course
Auckland’s only revolving restaurant that matches stunning food with the best views in town presents a new menu in April introduced by new head chef Jeremy Schmid. Highlights include:
• Oven baked veal rack on kumara and parmesan mash
• New Zealand lamb loin over warmed ratatouille and baked polenta
• Yellow fin tuna served rare on a warmed nicoise style salad
There’s also a new weekend brunch menu available from 10am – 3pm. Orbit is open for lunch and dinner daily with a children’s menu available.
FORTUNA – 10 All Time Favourite Dishes
This month, Fortuna serves up a new `10 All-Time Favourites' buffet dinner featuring hot mussels, roast chicken, beef stroganoff, oysters and a tower of cakes for just $29.95 per adult. Fortuna combines a great buffet selection at value for money prices. ’10 All Time Favourites’ is available every night except Wednesdays and Sundays when the popular Pasifika and Seafood Sunday buffets continue. Buffet price excludes beverages. Children’s prices also available.

Celebrity chef Peter Gordon returned recently to New Zealand to introduce the new Autumn menu. Peter recommends:
• The rich creamy Coconut Crayfish Laksa
• The Roast Cambridge duck breast
• The Grilled 300 day grain fed Angus beef fillet.
For those on a time limit, there’s the two-course express lunch menu for $35 (Monday to Friday). Or for those with time to spare, sample the four or five-course degustation menus with stunning wine matches for each course.
Dine by Peter Gordon recently won Best New Restaurant, Best Dining Room and runner up for Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the Metro Magazine Restaurant of the Year Awards 2006.
THE OBSERVATORY – Celebrate With Our Crayfish Deal
The Observatory seafood buffet restaurant, located at Sky Tower, prides itself on stunning seafood specialties. As a special treat, The Observatory presents a half crayfish as a plated entree on the dinner buffet. Available Monday to Thursday, while stocks last.
MING COURT – Half Duck Deal
SKYCITY’s authentic Chinese restaurant Ming Court, adds a special half duck cooked in five different spices for only $15.95 to its a la carte dinner menu in April. Available Sunday-Thursday. Plus Ming Court’s popular all-you-can-eat ‘Yum Char’ menu continues daily for lunch at $17.95 per person.
