In just over three weeks time the Rolling Stones will be arriving in Auckland to kick off the New Zealand leg of the “A Bigger Bang” World Tour. Now that the production details are finalised and sightlines are even better than anticipated, promoter Paul Dainty is pleased to announce that excellent tickets in ALL price categories may now be released for public sale TODAY!
Auckland fans wishing to purchase tickets for the Western Springs concert on April 16th can do so by phoning Ticketmaster on (0800) 111 999 or go to ticketmaster.co.nz. Those wishing to purchase tickets in Wellington for the Westpac Stadium concert on April 8th should phone Ticketek on 04 384 3840 or go to ticketek.co.nz.
‘A Bigger Bang’ World Tour opened in Boston in August 2005 and ever since critics and fans have been in agreement about their admiration and the sheer excitement that continues to characterize the live Rolling Stones experience. The tour has been attended by more than one and a half million people making ‘A Bigger Bang’ the most successful U.S. tour of all time. Just last month, the band performed for 2 million people at their free concert in Rio de Janeiro, which marked the half way point in their world tour.
Continuing their tradition of bringing some of the hottest acts – both legendary and new – to their fans, The "Rolling Stones: A Bigger Bang" World Tour have announced that multi-platinum selling Canadian rockers NICKELBACK will be their special guests in New Zealand for their Auckland and Wellington concerts.
NICKELBACK has experienced massive global chart success over the years selling more than 20 million records world-wide. Released in October last year their latest album All the Right Reasons saw them debut on the US Billboard chart at # 1. The album has already exceeded multi-platinum sales in New Zealand and is sitting at #9 on the RIANZ chart this week after 24 weeks in the chart. This will be Nickelback’s first visit to New Zealand.
