Wed 15 Mar OUSA Air guitar champs. Doors 8pm
To quote the OUSA website:This competition is kind of like being a voyeur in a teenage boys bedroom. No not that
activity, I mean when they pretend to be a rock star and jump around in front of the mirror with a Bruce Springsteen
bandanna on. Air guitar is just like this except instead of a mirror it is a crowd of people enjoying the performance.
People really get into it and again there are heaps of prizes, cool.. Its Dunedin’s answer to ‘Stars in their eyes’.

Human: Human are a four piece death metal / grindcore band from central Christchurch. Formed in March 1992, they can lay
a claim to being the longest serving metal band in NZ history.
Ravenous: according to bands.co.nz: Ravenous is just a band pissed off with hearing the ever so growing pop music hype,
and trying to get the other scene back, that was all ready there to begin with.
Injection of death: Are a heavy metal band that have been around for several months now. Fast and brutalish.

Wed 22 Mar Bouncing Souls (USA) + Ritalin + guests. Doors 8pm
Bouncing Souls:The Bouncing Souls are a punk band, formed in 1987. They are originally from New Brunswick, New Jersey.
They made a name for themselves by consistently touring over the United States. Rather than signing with a known label,
they initially decided to found their own, Chunksaah Records (named after their long-time friend Timmy Chunks), but are
now releasing their albums on Epitaph Records.
Ritalin: Beginning life away back in 1997 as a group of fourth-formers, Dunedin's Ritalin have since gone on to become
one of the hardest-working genre bands in the country. Despite being located in the deep south, the four-piece have
toured the country multiple times, including two Punkfest appearances and even a spot on the 2003 Big Day Out.

Four piece Kill the Fake Patient formed late in 2004 and although comprising of members from Lower Hutt and West
Auckland, they are currently based in Dunedin due to them all studying at Otago University.
Their sound is unique and defies instant categorisation, however can be included in the loosely coined post
punk/hardcore genre.
They are currently playing shows throughout Dunedin and are fast becoming known for their chaotic and energetic stage
show, which had them winning Otago University’s battle of the bands competition earlier this year.

The Boost Mobile Battle for Supremacy is back. This year, for the first time, the Battle for Supremacy will encompass
all elements of hip hop for all ages. An “Under 18” as well as an R18 event will take place in each of the regional
centres, leading up to the National Final in Auckland. Event organiser, MC Wordperfect is stoked that the competition
has reached the stage where it can be available for all ages,
“This quintessential Hip Hop cornerstone has now become the most important nationwide platform for all Hip Hop talent.
To be found at this powerful event will guarantee supreme credibility across Aotearoa in your chosen element. Spectators

The Gladeyes are an independent band from Dunedin, New Zealand. Since forming in 2002 The Gladeyes have toured New
Zealand 3 times, released an EP, and opened for such acts as The Verlaines, PanAm and King Kapisi. Their debut EP "What
To Do?" was released in September 2003 through their own label, ELP Records.

dDub: cranking, skanking, fat, pumping roots/reggae/ska/dub. A mixture of high-energy ska-dance and driving, uplifting
journeys through dub/reggae. dDub brings a raw roots based sound to the Auckland music scene.
The Taliband’ has been rocking out its unique fusion of Ska/Rock/Funk/Punk & Reggae for over a year now, after forming in April of 04.

Energetic, seasoned, sexy rockers from Las Vegas. 2004 USA World Battle of the Bands winners. Featured all around Las
Vegas and Los Angeles at shows like:The Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Cannery Casino, Red Lion Casino, The Cat Club, Club
Ice, Beverly Center Hard Rock. Supported by The Twitch, a dirty three-piece Rock band from Auckland who recently
returned from the World Battle of the Bands World Final where they represented New Zealand and placed second. They will
be recording and releasing their album early in January.
