Yachting New Zealand Release
Rod Davis has returned to Yachting New Zealand as Olympic Coaching Director and Leslie Egnot has been appointed Olympic Operations Manager.
Over the past five weeks discussions have continued to find the best organisational solution to drive Yachting New Zealand's Olympic Programme. Chief Executive Des Brennan is delighted at what has been achieved and sees it as a stronger platform for success.
"I always knew that we had the right pieces for our Olympic campaign, they just were not on the right squares," says Brennan.
Rod Davis is also pleased to have the issues resolved and be moving forwards with the Olympic programme that he designed.
"I'm happy to be back working with a very talented team. This situation has been resolved well and I believe we are stronger for having gone through this," says Davis. "We now have a more robust team and better understanding to work towards the goal."
Egnot has been employed in a coaching role previously and is excited about her new position as Olympic Operations Manager.
"I'm really looking forward to being part of the challenge," says Egnot. "We'll be giving it our best shot to achieve the one goal of results in Qingdao."
