Have to dress corporate but want to rebel and wear punk-inspired clothes? Live in street wear but long for romantic dresses? The grass can often seem greener on the other side of the wardrobe.
Continuing their tradition of fabulous live catwalk shows at local bars, Wellington boutique Triangle is proud to present Grass is Greener : Autumn/Winter 06 with a fashion-packed show at Curve Bar from 7pm on Saturday, April 1st.
There's no April Fools in fashion, just fourteen talented emerging designers from around New Zealand who will be displaying their winter collections of women's and men's clothing, jewellery, and accessories. With a short break between the collections, each designer's work will be accompanied by music and a written introduction to help evoke the spirit of their winter range.

Emily wears Snowlight singlet by Unholy Designs, Tartan shorts by Unholy Designs, earrings by Branded Elements, bead necklace and bracelets by Juli Hunter, checkered wrist cuff by Tripod. Models own tights and boots.

A wide variety of styles will be on display during the evening, ranging from the 1940s-inspired pencil skirts and boxy jackets of Ma Cherie's "Austerity" collection, through to the brightly-coloured punk/industrial designs from edgy Christchurch label Belly, and culminating in the darkly romantic lace-trimmed and temptress-inspired designs of Humanity's "Dark Sided" collection. Stay cosy and warm, while still looking feminine and pretty, in Macska's "Snow Belle"collection of long merino tops and skirts with petticoats and lace, or show your rebellious rockstar side in Westie-influenced tight jeans, long singlets and hoodies from Involved.
Add a military touch to your wardrobe with the Kate Watts "For Your Love" collection, inspired by the story of "The Brave Tin Soldier", or indulge in a bit of frivolity with the "Little Suzy Homemaker" range of stunning dresses, aprons, and tops in organza, mesh, and felted wool from Willmott-Dalton.
And due to popular demand, models will again represent all sizes sold at Triangle so that you can see realistically see yourself looking as fabulous as they do. Be in fast if you fall in love with a design however, as many are one-off works handcrafted by the designers themselves, ensuring that you'll never encounter someone wearing the same outfit, and the wardrobe envy will all be directed at you!
With such a wide selection of styles and designers, we promise everyone will find that the Grass really is Greener here at Triangle.
The outfits will be complemented by the latest winter shoes and boots from Shoe Connection, stunning hair styles by Chaos Hairdressing and fabulous makeup looks by a team of professional makeup artists.
Twelve favourite Triangle designers will be featured in the show, and we are also very pleased to extend a warm welcome to Flock and Ihana, both of whom will be showing their first ever complete collection on the catwalk at Grass is Greener.
