Oscar Winning Best Picture Crash Back In Cinemas For Limited Time
Following its success at the 78th Academy Awards on Monday, CRASH is re-releasing at New Zealand cinemas on Thursday 9 March for a limited season.
CRASH played at New Zealand cinemas in 2005 and has been picked up again by cinemas nationwide due to publicity brought on by its Award success and by public demand.
The film won three out of the six Oscars it was nominated for - Best Original Screenplay, Achievement In Film Editing, and most importantly, Best Picture, beating acclaimed WALK THE LINE, and Ang Lee's BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN.
Elizabeth Trotman, Marketing Director for Hoyts Distribution New Zealand Ltd, said "Whilst it was a surprise win for Crash, the award reflects the superb piece of film making and I urge the New Zealand public to take advantage of the opportunity to see it again on the big screen for a limited season."
Hoyts Distribution New Zealand Ltd (on behalf of Icon Film Distribution) is re-releasing CRASH.
