Takapuna Beach Mardi Gras Announces Hot Sponsor!
The annual Takapuna Beach Mardi Gras, Saturday 18 March, has gained the support of the hottest new address in Takapuna Beach. The Sentinel, soon to be the tallest building and most prestigious address on the North Shore is revolutionising urban living and is proud to sponsor this valued community event.
The Sentinel sets a new standard in apartment living where the comfort of residents is paramount. Residents will be key members of the Takapuna Beach community as they enjoy the unrestrained interior and unparalleled sea and city views while enjoying all Takapuna Beach has to offer with boutique shops and a multitude of hospitality options. .
Brad Clark General Manager Takapuna Beach Business Association, the organizing body responsible for the event, says "The Sentinel sets the standard for what Takapuna Beach aspires to be. Our partnership with The Sentinel and with the Mardi Gras is a great chance for us to showcase the best of Takapuna Beach and put on a fantastic event giving the rest of Auckland an excuse to come and see us."
Hurstmere Road will be closed during the Festival allowing the street to burst with colour, fun and entertainment. Local stores will be offering Mardi Gras specials while embracing the truly eclectic theme through window displays, staff costumes and much more. Roaming entertainment will continue throughout the day for all to enjoy as well as two stages with entertainment from professional artists and local talent through to 5pm.
Takapuna Beach Mardi Gras commences at 11am on Saturday March 18 and finishes at 5pm. A midday masquerade parade commences at the Anzac St end of Hurstmere Rd with the official launch of the days carnival antics. Bring the entire family for a day of entertainment, fun and interaction.don't forget your costume, your mask or just come as you are!
