GameShow is a video projection of computer gaming imagery, set in a street level shop frontage, Rex Royale in Cuba Mall.
Intermedia artist Darcy Gladwin is seeking to "break down barriers between gaming culture and the public at large". To
normalise an experience which is often hidden behind the walls of homes and club-type environments.
Often the public will only encounter gaming culture when seen within news items, which by nature offer some threat to
public safety or concern.
Darcy will superimpose games of differing types upon another to bring different juxtapositions and resultant
interpretations. Games are also montaged with film material and the written word, creating a collage that engages the
viewer on many levels.
