Speight's and ZM search for the "King of the Swing"
The battle fields have been chosen and the swingball sets have been firmly planted in the sand. That's right, Speight's and ZM have begun the search for the 2006 "King of the Swing" and it's coming to a beach near you!
The Speight's and ZM Summer Swingball Series kicks off at Scorching Bay in Wellington on the 22nd of January from 11am-3pm. From there the series moves to the following locations:
* Takapuna Beach, Auckland on January 30th
* Main beach, Mt Maunganui on February 6th
* Sumner Beach, Christchurch on February 11th
It's been the ultimate Kiwi pass-time through the generations, capturing the hearts, minds and competitive streaks of Kiwis both young and old. Yes, swingball is a game close to many of us, whether playing at home, at the beach or on a camping holiday, the memories of the fun and the rivalry are never-ending.
And it's back! So grab some mates, pull the family swingball set out from the garden shed, dust off the bats and get a-swingin' people! The challenge has been set and there are some great prizes up for grabs including Morrison BBQ's, Bolle gear, CD's and of course loads of Speight's! In fact the champion from each tournament will win a year's supply of the South's finest ale!
Join the ZM Black Thunders at the event closest to you, for a day of swingball, music, giveaways and partying in the sun with your mates and Speight's!
While you're at it you can also join the 'New Zealand Swingball Society', an official partner of the Speight's and ZM Summer Swingball Series. It's free and membership to New Zealand's newest and most exclusive society comes with numerous benefits including priority seating and entry in the 2006 Speight's and ZM Summer Swingball Tournament.
As the NZ Swingball Society motto says, "We love to swing" so we'll look forward to swinging with you at the Speight's and ZM Summer Swingball series soon!
Good on ya mate!
