SUMMER DESTINATION HOLIDAY RACING SERIES
FOUR DOLLAR FLUTTER TURNS INTO $50,000 BOOTY
It won’t just be the biggest club day that the Banks Peninsula racing Club will remember with 6000 people on course and what is expected to be a record on course betting total. The New Zealand Still Destination Summer Holiday Racing’s second meeting held by the Banks Peninsula racing Club at Motukarara will be a day that Sue Ellen Sanderlands will remember for life.
Not a regular bettor, Sue Ellen Sanderlands went to the races and decided to take the Summer Six Pack - a $4 flutter betslip (the bettor picks one horse and lets the computer pick the rest), and she left the Race course with a new Sharp Home Entertainment system, the latest Ford Focus Car and $16,666.65 cents in cash..
Sue Ellen was ecstatic at her win saying that her current television was not really working any more, that she was driving an old model car and with both of these being replaced she would be putting the money to good use.
Motukarara was the second of 23 events in the NZ STILL Summer Destination Holiday Racing Series the next meetings in the series will be held at Kurow Dec 30, Taupo Dec 31 and Hawkes Bay and Waikouaiti on New Years Day.
