The collections on display will take part to the second edition of Maredimoda Award, a special project promoted by Gruppo MarediModa in collaboration with Mittelmoda, whose prize-giving is scheduled for 30 November at 6.00pm_Espace Salon, Cannes. On this occasion, in fact, the collection awarded the Beachwear Prize at Mittelmoda_the fashion award 2005 of the german Britta Uschkamp (Institut Francaise de la Mode, Paris), will officially receive the MarediModa Award.
Near Uschkamp’s collection, other 7 beachwear international proposals have been carefully selected by the Consorzio among those arrived at Mittelmoda’s offices, and will stay on display at the Salone 100% Beachwear Maredimoda in Cannes. They are the following:
Katalyn Osten, Otago Polytechnic Dunedin – New Zealand;
Mirco Marchetti, Polimoda – Italy;
Alberto Messina, IPS Rubbiani – Italy;
Joana Faria De Camargo, State of Santa Caterina University – Brazil;
Famke Eva F. de Ruiter, HKA Arnhem – The Netherlands;
Ira Kuncheva, New Bulgarian University – Bulgaria;
Alexandra Nalobina, Beaux Arts and Services Academy – Belgium.
The project is part of the Consorzio Maredimoda’s wider programme that, among the many Festival’s objectives, aims at focusing innovative and specific needs in the beachwear sector on the event and confirms once again Mittelmoda_the fashion award’s commitment in creating exchange and meeting chances between emerging designers and the industrial reality of the fashion system.
