Coke New Releases - Fresh Music from the fridge Saturday November 12th
11am - 12pm
Phil's dived into a freshwater pool of videos this week and struggled back to the surface with two clips of ultra-heavy rock. Yes, Korn is back with a brand new video full of hip hop stars (you'll have to see it to believe it) and the guitar chugging Queens of the Stone Age turn their attention to the problems of living as medieval women with the very dark 'Burn the Witches'.
Someone we hope won't be burnt, however, is the lovely Carly Binding, who casts a charm spell of her own when she drops by for a chat about her upcoming album and we've brand new clips from Rhymefest, Jamiroquai, Gwen Stefani and 50 Cent.
On top of that we're giving away two more double passes to Kelly Clarkson and another to the Southern Amp festival. Meanwhile our resident hottie in the corner, the lovely Sony MHC-RG270 is flaunting her double cassette deck with a low cut top. Whewee!... her volume goes all the way up…
Top of the Pops Saturday November 12th 5pm - 6pm
Isn't it beautiful weather out there? Not wanting to jinx it or anything, but it looks like we have a stunning summer coming our way. Speaking of stunners coming our way, the very beautiful Carly Binding is coming into the studio to perform "I See the World" the first single off her brand new album. "I See the World" was written during a song-writing frenzy in Western Australia. But fear not - she has promised not to sing it with an Aussie accent!
In a fit of match-making, we have teamed the lovely Ms Binding up with star-on-the-rise and very talented singer/songwriter Luke Thompson who's going to perform his first single "Morning Light". Then we're going to send them to the Sky Tower for dinner with a crew of camera men and…
50 Cent, on the other hand, is using the good weather to its advantage by getting a little window shopping in while he can. Hot British rockers Maximo Park get all gangster on us and apply some pressure…
To prove how much we love you (we do!!) Top of the Pops is giving you the chance to win double passes to Kelly Clarkson in Christchurch and Auckland. Plus, we're still taking entries to the Big Day Out Franz Ferdinand competition - who wouldn't want to be side of stage for that performance?
Coke Countdown Sunday November 13th 10am - 12pm
Well, well, well, it's time for yet another brand new number one, as the charts keep us all guessing this week with plenty of changes at the top. Kanye West and Jamie Foxx keep climbing, having almost dug up Top 40 gold, while Nickelback seems on the rise despite a backlash against his goatee.
Meanwhile Rosita maintains a Kiwi presence in the top five, ably supported by the swaggering Savage and Goodnight Nurse burst onto the chart scene.
Plus we've got the newest clips from English big wigs Oasis, the brand new 'brand new' from Rhymefest and your chance to win Jesse McCartney's DVD and a double CD of Kiwi reggae stars Katchafire.
