*The times they are a changin'*
Stevie Starr is going to be telling the truth at his next gig at the katipo café.
The singer songwriter is going to using his acoustic guitar and harmonica to communicate messages about how to be comfortable, non-political, and fit in.
"I'm trying to get everyone in the world to buy more things and watch television," says Starr.
Starr will be joined by ex-band member Chocolate Brownie (Matt Coplon) on guitar.
Brownie is only playing so that the audience will see his new clothes carefully styled on fashion magazines and popular show rock INXS.
Starr will also make a big effort for the gig.
"I'm wearing diesel shoes and a spiky faux-hawk. Nothing too radical though,"
Starr is hoping the audience will think his songs are cool but he doesn't want them to think about the lyrics.
"I just want everyone to have a good time and dress up," says Starr.
Local band *Stingfish* and singer songwriter *Dragstrip* will be playing support.
*Katipo café, Friday 18 Nov, 8pm, $5.*
