Young at Art: Kids Day at City Gallery Wellington
The Muka Youth Prints exhibition is back at City Gallery Wellington on November 19-20, and we’re celebrating with ‘Young at Art’, an afternoon of fun, free activities on Saturday 19.
Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November, 12 noon - 5pm both days
City Gallery Wellington
This is always a hugely popular event, so bring along your kids, your niece and nephews, your grandchildren… (Muka prints are great Christmas gifts!).
Exclusively for 5 to 18 year olds, original lithographs by 20 prominent artists from New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Korea are available for sale at $55 (unframed). Artists’ names and signatures are covered during the show, so kids choose the works that appeal to them – no adults allowed!
Saturday 19 November, 1- 4pm
City Gallery Wellington
Fun, free activities to go along with your trip to the Muka Youth Prints exhibition:
Badge making – make cool badges that you draw yourself!
Treasure hunt – explore City Gallery’s current exhibitions and fill out the fun treasure hunt worksheet. Then go in the draw to win a special prize!
Face painting – be transformed!
