Coke New Releases: Fresh Music from the fridge
Saturday 1st October 11am-12pm, TV2
There's something in the water this week on Coke New Releases, and it's not Rihanna, who stays strictly on the sand in her sultry new video clip 'If It's Loving That You Want'. Instead, it appears to be the troubles of coupledom as Ashlee Simpson croons over her boyfriend in garage rock fashion, women fight over The Shocking Pinks' Nick Harte in their brand new single, and Goldie Lookin' Chain sings the words of best men everywhere in the hilarious 'Your Missus Is a Nutter'.
Phil finds out 'What's Next' in a chat with the irrepressible Nesian Mystik and catch the new video from local hip hop guru Che Fu.
There are also new releases from Devendra Banhart, Jack Johnson, the formidable Missy Elliot and more.
Plus, there's also the chance to win a final double pass to the Black Eyed Peas' Auckland gig AND a brand new SONY mini system waiting to be won too - all you have to do is vote for your favourite artist from this week's show.
Top of the Pops Saturday 1st October 5pm-6pm, TV2
This week on Top of the Pops we have, back by popular demand, Tui New Zealand Music Award nominee and chart topping legend Savage performing live in our studio. He will be joined by the beautiful Aaradhna to perform their incredible track 'They Don't Know'.
Plus check out the awesome local performances from Elemeno P with '11.57,' and the one and only Che Fu with 'Lightwork.'
Also on the show this week we have exclusive international performances from The Pussycat Dolls with 'Don't Cha' and Akon with his brand new single 'Belly Dancer (Bananza)' AND we catch up with the boys from Simple Plan for a chat!
Don't miss the jam-packed show this week on Top of the Pops!
Coke Countdown Sunday 2nd October 10am-12pm, TV2
With the Black Eyed Peas in the country this week, their new video maintains a good position in the top 10, while the real action happens lower in the charts.
England's piano swooning specialists Coldplay debut at number 19 with their single 'Fix You', while the uber-relaxed Jack Johnson, The Stereophonics and bullet-scarred 50 Cent shoot back into the charts on a wave of re-found popularity. On top of that we've got the new Franz Ferdinand clip and a chance to win their brand new album 'You Could Have It So Much Better' AND we give away the latest album from The Dandy Warhols!
Plus there's brand new fresh kiwi clips from The Shocking Pinks, Che Fu and Carly Binding. Don't miss it!
