DESTINY CHURCHES NEW ZEALAND
PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BISHOP BRIAN TAMAKI
SENIOR MINISTER – DESTINY CHURCHES NZ
23 August 2005
Enough is Enough – One Year Anniversary
Today’s Nomination Day also marks the one year anniversary of Enough is Enough, last year’s mass gathering at parliament
grounds upholding traditional family values and the institution of marriage.
This Sunday (28th August) at Destiny Church Auckland a special celebration service will be held to commemorate the
event.
“The stand we made at parliament grounds for the institution of marriage and the traditional family polarised the
country and brought a fresh awareness to issues of family and morality to the public domain. With less than four weeks
till election day - I will continue to do my utmost to prevent the anti-family Labour administration returning to
power”, says Bishop Tamaki.
Bishop Tamaki cites the Civil Union Act, Relationships Act and the Prostitution Act as examples of immoral laws passed
under the Labour-led Government.
“I believe another term under Labour will be disastrous for our country and the future generations. At this service I
intend to give my views on the consequences of another term under Labour”, he added.
The service will feature the Destiny Church kapa haka team, an audio visual of last year’s event and a keynote speech by
Bishop Tamaki. Richard Lewis, leader of Destiny New Zealand political party, has also been invited to participate.
