landmark MATAKU series on the Monday night New Zealand documentary. When the first 13-part series of stand alone dramas
launched, it was unprecedented and revealed an eerie and unsettling aspect of Maori lore that had been previously
unwitnessed by many New Zealanders. Then, Maori Television will re-launch MATAKU series one from Wednesday August 31 at
9.30 PM with the drama The Sisters, featuring Mamaengaroa Kerr-Bell and Nari Gutherie.

O Hinetuparimaunga.

The LIVE bilingual show that explores urban youth culture in Aotearoa returns to Maori Television with the launch of the
fourth series of TUHONO. TUHONO is presented by the poetically potent trifecta of Sista Waitoa (aka Sheree Waitoa),
Karizma (aka Lucas Taua) and Kommikal (aka aka Brett Tamati-Elliffe) and features more celebrity guests, resident B-boys
and new talent on the show this season.
SURVIVING PARADISE

The first English language Iranian feature film to be distributed in the United States broadcasts on Maori Television
this week. SURVIVING PARADISE follows the story of 10-year-old Sam and his younger sister Sara who arrive in Hollywood,
only to be met with the kidnapping of their mother and the mean streets of Los Angeles.
