New Slopestyle Series at Cardrona
A new Slopestyle Series at Cardrona Alpine Resort gives riders and skiers the opportunity to ride New Zealand’s longest terrain park competitively, whatever their ability. Two competitions, one for novices and one for advanced riders, will take place over two weekends on the Playzone and Heavy Metal trails.
The CBS Slopestyle kicks into action at 10am on 23 July in Cardrona’s Playzone Terrain Park. Aimed at skiers and boarders of beginner to low-intermediate terrain park ability, this competition is ideal for those just starting to compete or wanting to gain experience in the competition scene. Entry is $15 and there are some great prizes from CBS up for grabs.
The Cadbury Moro Slopestyle on 31 July gives the experts a chance to strut their stuff in the Heavy Metal Terrain Park. With a prize pool of $2,000 cash, together with some great spot prizes, this event promises to bring out some serious riding from both skiers and snowboarders. Entry is $20 and, as with the CBS Slopestyle, lift passes are available at 50% discount for all competitors on the day.
For further information on both events, visit www.cardrona.com.
