Hooning at Cardrona in the Supersport Challenge
Skiers with a need for speed are lining up for this year’s Volkl Supersport Challenge at Cardrona Alpine Resort on 16 July.
Kicking off with the V-Ski Pipe Jam, free skiers will take on Cardrona’s superpipe to pull off the most spectacular run and also aim to win a season’s pass for the best single hit.
The speed freaks take over once the ski field has closed to the public. Although the course is a closely guarded secret, one thing is certain, the Volk Vertical Hoon will sort the men from the boys. This off-piste downhill will see skiers take the fastest, most direct route from the top to the bottom of the mountain. With a total prize pool of $3,000 for the winning, competition is bound to be fierce.
Entry forms are available from Cardrona Alpine Resort’s web site at www.cardrona.com/supersport.asp.
