Eleven Second Division Wins Across New Zealand
The All Blacks weren't the only players winning this weekend with eleven lucky Lotto tickets sold in Auckland, Dunedin, Hamilton, Napier, Tauranga, and Wellington each winning Lotto Second Division prizes of $25,687 in Saturday night's draw, New Zealand Lotteries Commission Chief Executive Trevor Hall said today.
"These fantastic Second Division prizes top off a winning weekend for some lucky players. It's great to get prizes going to ticket holders from all corners of the country."
Five of the eleven Second Division prizes went to tickets sold in Auckland, two to Wellington and one each to Napier, Hamilton, Tauranga and Dunedin respectively.
Lotto Manager Harish Raniga, from St Andrews Dairy in Hamilton, where a winning ticket was sold, said it was terrific to have sold a Division Two winning ticket.
"We are thrilled and are hoping the prize has gone to one of our loyal customers."
One lucky player, who bought their ticket from 525 Mags & Cards in Tauranga, also won Powerball Division Two, taking home an extra $30,599, giving them a total of $56,286 in prize money.
Auckland stores that sold winning tickets were Bay Village Grocers, Mt Wellington Lotto, Rathgar Road Discounter, Whitcoulls New Lynn and Victoria Ave Superette.
The two Second Division prizes on Wellington tickets were from Citystop Manners Street and Lower Hutt's Park Avenue Bookshop. Dunedin's Roslyn Book & Toy Centre also sold a winning Second Division ticket.
Napier's Andrew Spence Pharmacy, which last weekend sold the ticket that won more than $12 million from Powerball and Division One, continued to be a lucky store, as it sold the eleventh Division Two winning ticket that picked up $25,687.
