A Poroporaki For Carlos Spencer On Maori Television
As New Zealand women weep and their rugby-loving partners weep harder, Maori Television farewells Maori rugby legend Carlos Spencer on a special edition of CODE this Thursday June 23 at 8.30 PM.
One of New Zealand’s most loved representatives, Spencer is scheduled to depart New Zealand rugby and embark on a new life in Northampton, England to play for the Northampton Saints.
His appearance on Maori Television’s flagship sports show CODE this Thursday will mark one of the few media appearances he will make before his departure next week.
Spencer is a veteran of 35 tests and 44 All Black appearances and has enjoyed the trials and tribulations of a colourful professional sports career. In a spectacular finale to his career in New Zealand, his instrumental involvement in the recent NZ Maori vs Lions win at Waikato Stadium emblazoned in the public’s memory the enduring image of a great Kiwi player.
Join CODE presenters Tawera Nikau, Jenny-May Coffin, Matua Parkinson, Slade McFarland, Rewa Hudson and Julian Wilcox in farewelling Carlos Spencer this Thursday June 23 at 8.30 PM on Maori Television!
