Harriet and the Matches and Ryan Prebble of Wellington take on the South Island in June with a winter tour. Their
energetic and original style’s are well worked mixes of blues, traditional folk, reggae and soul inspired songs. With a
busy two weeks of nine gigs in fourteen days, you can expect to see some polished performances of soulful melodies and
foot stomping beats. A Harriet and the Matches and Ryan Prebble gig is sure to fill you with pride for Aotearoa’s many

Harriet and the Matches
Harriet and the Matches formed in January 2005 after long-time musical companions Jessie Moss and Mea (Amiria Grenell)
moved to Wellington to pursue music. Their energetic and original style is a delightful mix of ballad, traditional folk,
reggae and soul inspired songs. Harriet and the Matches place a strong emphasis on beautiful vocal harmonies and driving
rhythms pounded out with a traditional Irish Bodhran. After a stunning debut into the Wellington music scene, Harriet
and the Matches have become regulars in well established venues such as Bodega and Indigo. Their exciting winter tour in
June with Ryan Prebble consists of nine gigs in fourteen days, along with plans for touring Australia in December, this
year is going to be a busy one for Harriet and the Matches. Harriet and the Matches are also pleased to be joined by the
creative Clare McLennan-Kissel(percussion) throughout the tour.

Ryan Prebble
Since he was knee high to a grasshopper, Ryan Prebble has been playing music. Starting on a tennis racquet, and
progressing to the guitar, 13 years later he has developed a uniquely percussive style. He has captivated audiences
around New Zealand with his powerful voice and stonking rhythms. Thanks to his diploma in sound engineering Ryan has
independently produced his debut album “Fruits”, scheduled for release in August 2005. He has recently landed a deal
with Scue records in London that will take him to the U.K and Australia later in the year.
