NHNZ goes in Search of Extreme Homes Down Under
The world has seen our landscape, now they’re going to see inside our homes.
Home & Garden Television (HGTV) has commissioned NHNZ to produce a high definition special Extreme Homes - Down Under.
The one hour show will uncover the most extreme homes in New Zealand and Australia – not just the ultra-modern but
really out there concepts that make your jaw drop with wonder and amazement.
Producer Tina Diaz says the programme will feature a range of houses, some new, some old, but all are quirky and
innovative in their own way. She adds that HGTV is looking for the unique character and flavour of the “downunder”
personality.
“New Zealanders and Australians both have a strong tradition of home ownership and a taste for originality – sparked
often by the need to find novel solutions in harsh and remote locations. Each country has an abundance of physical space
and a wealth and diversity of natural building products. And plenty of imagination! ”
