Best Pacific Male Artist Finalists Announced For 2005 Pacific Music Awards
2005 Pacific Music Awards finalists in the NZ Music Industry Commission (NZMIC) Best Pacific Male Artist category have
been announced. And the nominees are... Dei Hamo, Scribe, and Tha Feelstyle. All are multiple finalists in the awards,
the winners of which will be announced on Pasifika Festival 2005's opening night, held at Western Springs on the 11th of
March. The inaugural awards show commences at 9pm following the conclusion of the Air New Zealand opening night concert
NZMIC CEO Cath Andersen says "The NZMIC is absolutely delighted to be involved in this event, particularly as sponsors
of the Best Male Pacific Artist. Scribe, Tha Feelstyle and Dei Hamo are all exceptional talents - these three performers
have collectively in excess of 130,000* records over the past two years. This fact alone surely shows the huge cultural
significance of these artists."
