Lucire is world’s top fashion magazine in new Microsoft search engine
Proof again that fashion magazine is number one globally
Wellington, February 26 (JY Media) Microsoft’s new search engine rates Lucire as the world’s leading online fashion magazine ( http://www.lucire.com), and comfortably ahead of competitors from large publishing houses.
It was originally thought that the addition of a print edition to Lucire in 2004 would harm its internet status.
However, with a number-two position in Google, and regular number-one status at MSN Search (search.msn.com), it has
maintained its online reputation as one of fashion publishing’s power brands.
In October 2004, Lucire launched its print edition in New Zealand, becoming the first online fashion magazine in the
world to do so. It also became the first printed monthly fashion magazine in New Zealand. A Romanian edition is planned
for April 2005.
Lucire was founded in Wellington in 1997 and is New Zealand’s first commercial fashion site. It remains 100 per cent
New Zealand owned.
The searches for the term fashion magazine were conducted on February 3 and 26, 2005 (New Zealand time).
