36” DOLLs ON DISPLAY AT SKYCITY auckland convention centre
SKYCITY Auckland is proud to be supporting Bella Collectibles - Radio Lollipop Designer Doll Exhibition, showcasing a range of designer dolls on level four of the SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre this week (until 27 February 2005).

Liz Finlay Zambesi exhibit.
Twelve selected names in New Zealand fashion - Trelise Cooper, Adrienne Winkelmann, NOM D, Adrian Hailwood, Tanya Carlson, Liz Mitchell, Doris de Pont, Sabatini, HelenTalbot, Zambesi, Jane Rhodes and Kevin Berkahn – each designed an outfit from their 2005 winter collection for the life-size 36-inch dolls.
The designers worked closely with Jan McLean, (talented New Zealander who has been in the business of manufacturing porcelain and vinyl dolls for a number of years and who is providing all the dolls for the event), to choose their individual look, from the colour of the eyes, hair and skin to make-up and hairstyle. Customised jewellery was created to the designer’s requirements by Dunedin’s Chris Idour Jeweller, and the dolls’ faces made-up using Estee Lauders’ winter 2005 palette.
The recipient charity, Radio Lollipop, is an international charity operating in specialist children’s hospitals, general hospitals and outpatient environments. In New Zealand, Radio Lollypop operates at Starship Children’s Hospital, Kidz First Children’s Hospital and Manukau Super Clinic. It is dedicated to providing comfort and entertainment to sick children and teenagers during their hospital stay.
Radio Lollipop gives young patients a voice and while they can’t say "no" to taking their medicine or receiving treatment, they can request their favourite songs, win prizes and hear their own voices on the radio.
The dolls currently on display at SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre are to be auctioned at a prestigious gala dinner on 5th May 2005 at Langham Hotel, Auckland, to raise funds for Radio Lollipop. For tickets for the gala please contact auction@radiolollipop.co.nz.
