Upper Hutt hosts Scribe ,Fur Patrol , Rodger Fox and Totally Gourdgeous all this weekend.
Following on from 10,000 people in Masterton on Tuesday night For Scribe and Fur Patrol, Upper Hutt eagerly awaits the
arrival of Summer Hummer And the same bands at Harcourt Park on Saturday night. The gates open at 4pm for what promises
to be an exciting show for young people.
Local artist Dane Kingi has already shown his admiration for the role models these artists are by carving contemporary
gifts for Scribe and the 3 members of Fur Patrol.
Mayor Wayne Guppy says Harcourt Park is undoubtedly the best outdoor self contained entertainment venue in the region.
To have 2 concerts aimed one at younger folk and another for an older audience makes for an ideal weekend. Summer Swing
on Sunday night features the Rodger Fox Band with Tim Beveridge and Frankie Stevens
A group of teddy bears have been found hiding in the roof of the sound stage so they can watch The concert prior to the
Subway Upper Hutt Teddy Bears Picnic at the same venue on Saturday 19 February
Access to Harcourt Park is via State Highway 2 turning off at Akatarawa Road by car with public Transport by train to
Upper Hutt and bus route 110 transports you right outside the park.
On Friday night Totally Gourdgeous perform at Genesis Theatre,playing goodtime music on instruments made of Gourds.
